Hume Brophy invite you to a Webinar on the Evolution of Artificial Intelligence Policy in the EU with Eva Kaili MEP, as part of our series of Webinars exploring the development policy for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. We stand at the advent of a new era as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions are emerging across all sectors. These technologies are creating opportunities and exposing potential risks. The race to harness these opportunities is fuelling fierce global competition.

Following the publication of the White Paper on Artificial Intelligence in February, the European Commission is now due to publish the draft law on Artificial Intelligence.

The European Parliament has conducted extensive work over the intervening months exploring Artificial Intelligence and the role it can play in industry and society.

Eva Kaili is a leading voice in this debate in her role as Chair of the Future of Science and Technology Panel in the European Parliament (STOA), and as a Member of the Industry, Research and Energy committee (ITRE). She has been working intensively on promoting innovation as a driving force of the establishment of the European Digital Single Market. She has been the draftsperson of multiple pieces of legislation in the fields of blockchain technology, online platforms, big data, fintech, AI and cybersecurity, as well as the ITRE draftsperson on Juncker plan EFSI2 and more recently the Invest EU program.

Hume Brophy welcome your participation in this webinar which will include a speech by Ms Kaili where she will share her unique insights into this important policy area. This will be followed by a short questions and answers session. We encourage you to submit questions in advance.

The Webinar will take place on Tuesday, October 20 between 10:00 and 11:00 am CET via Zoom. Registered participants will be sent a link to join the webinar.
